She’s arguably the most loved and celebrated Nollywood
actress.  Mercy Johnson Okojie was born
August 28, 1984 and hails from Okene in Kogi State.

She came to the limelight in 2004 after starring in
Nollywood movie The Maid. Mercy’s outstanding performance in that movie paved
the way for her into getting more roles in movies such as Hustlers, Baby Oku in
America, War in the Palace and many more.

She won the Best Actress award at Africa Magic Viewer’s
Choice Awards 2013 which was held on the 9th March, 2013. She won the award
with a movie titled ‘Dumebi the Dirty Girl’. By December 2013, Mercy Johnson
was listed as Google’s Most Searched Nollywood Celebrity – a position she also
held in 2012.
